Gainesville Pet Rescue
GPR is dedicated to placing unwanted dogs and cats into permanent, loving homes. All of our dogs and cats live with foster families in real homes while they’re waiting to be adopted. Paws on Parole
Located in Gainesville, Florida, our prison-based dog training programs pair adoptable dogs from Alachua County Animal Services with inmates from the Florida Dept. of Corrections and the Alachua County Jail. The dogs live with and are trained by the inmates for 8 weeks and learn the basic skills necessary to pass the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen test.
Plenty of Pit Bulls
We bring people together to make good things happen for pit bulls and other dogs in need. We rescue and advocate for dogs through rehabilitation, training, and adoption. We work to build a respectful and joyful community of dog lovers through education and collaboration.
